| All of the maps shown here are reproductions from the originals produced in the given year. They have been reproduced maintaining clarity and sharpness. Various maps served different purposes. Some were used for exploration with notations written by hand as they were carried in the respective territory. Some were used as travel guides for immigrants. Some were used for noting military exploits. Whatever the purpose, they are very interesting to all who have an interest in our heritage. |
